The Synthesis of Technology, Finance & Pedagogy
Her educational trajectory reflects a rare multi-disciplinary mastery. Beginning with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computers from the University of Pune, she laid the foundation for her passion for campus automation and e-governance. Recognizing the need for fiscal sustainability in public institutions, she pursued an MBA in Financial Management.
Driven by a deep conviction to modernize educational systems, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education from Savitribai Phule Pune University, examining outcomes-based digital learning frameworks. She further enhanced her global perspective by completing the Executive Leadership Training Programme at the prestigious Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK.

As Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Trustee, Dr. Smita Yogesh Jadhav serves as the catalyst for raising the bar of higher education at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune. She seamlessly integrated simple digital solutions into the education system, revolutionizing the daily lives of both professors and students.
Today, she stands as the guiding force behind 14 constituent colleges across medicine, dentistry, biotechnology, physiotherapy, nursing, optometry, design, liberal arts, and management—collectively transforming the educational experience of more than 25,000 collegiate scholars every year.
Empowering 16,000+ Women: The Kasturi Club Movement
Beyond academic institutions, Dr. Jadhav has spearheaded grassroots social enterprise as President of the Kasturi Club. Here, she has not merely created a platform for women, but an enduring, self-sustaining ecosystem that nurtures successful micro-entrepreneurs across urban and rural wards.
Through interest-free micro-credit, business mentoring, digital marketing workshops, and regional handicraft exhibitions, the Kasturi Club has enabled more than 2,400 women to achieve economic independence and launch sustainable livelihoods.
